What are you doing manually today
Grammarly doesn't have Czech, and Word only helps inside Word. But people write in Gmail, Seznam, Facebook, Shoptet or Fakturoid, and nobody corrects them there. The only Czech extension has a 2.6-star rating.
What the extension can do
- Yellow ✎ on every text field (or Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+K, or right-click): a card with findings, a sample correction, and a rule explanation.
- Typos and missing diacritics: dekuji → děkuji, zbozi → zboží, zalezitost → záležitost.
- Commas before subordinate clauses (nabídku, kterou...; myslím, že...; muž, s kterým...), by jsme → bychom, aby jste → abyste, ke mě → ke mně, viz. → viz, standartní → standardní, shlédnout → zhlédnout.
- Typography: double spaces, space before punctuation, capital letter at the start of a sentence, repeated words, 10km → 10 km, 1.10.2026 → 1. 10. 2026, "Czech quotation marks", hyphen.
- Slovak as a full second language (LanguageTool spelling and grammar + commas before conjunctions); language is detected automatically.
- One-click correction or "Fix all"; custom dictionary for company and product names. Works in text areas, standard fields, and editors (Gmail, Seznam, Facebook, WordPress).

Privacy and security
Text goes to our server in the Czech Republic only when you run the check, and is not stored (hunspell + custom rules for Czech, LanguageTool for Slovak). The extension ignores password, email, and credit card fields. Rules are based on spelling, not guesswork — what Korektor isn't sure about, it'd rather not report.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Czech really good?
Spelling, commas before conjunctions, forms like bychom/byste, mě/mně, and typography are based on rules. Out of 137,000 characters of correct Wikipedia text, Korektor found only 3 real errors and no false positives. Subject-verb agreement (e.g. děti si hráli) it can't do yet — we say so straight.
Can it do style and tone too?
Not yet. We are planning a rewrite into a more polite or shorter version, but only after we test it on real texts.
When will it launch and what if the date changes?
We're planning March 2027. We build in order of interest, so the launch date can shift by a month either way. Those who leave their email get a message on launch day.
